Use in landscaping projects
Geraniums are among the most used summer flowers in towns, hotels, restaurants and homes: window boxes and bridge planters, terrace pots and park beds. They tolerate heat and flower continuously all summer.
Planting and spacing
Plant out after the last frost, usually mid-May. In window boxes use 4–5 plants per linear metre and in beds 9–12 plants per square metre. They need full sun and fertile, well-drained compost.
Care and maintenance
Water regularly without overwatering and feed periodically for abundant flowers. Remove spent flowers. They are not frost-hardy: plants can be overwintered in a bright, cool place (5–10°C) or replanted each year.
